Coach CJ Motte

Head Coach & Founder

CJ's 10 year involvement in goalie development:

  • 5+ Years of  1 on 1 Video Breakdown with Goalies 

  • Working & running summer hockey camps including Waterloo Blackhawks USHL Goalie Camp

  • Private lessons

  •  Directing goalie specific off-ice training programs

 

CJ's playing experiences

   He has played Junior hockey in both the NAHL (Traverse City) and USHL (Waterloo), four years of Division 1 hockey at Ferris State University where he was the Captain of his team his Senior year and graduated with a construction management degree. CJ is currently going into his seventh season professionally playing in the ECHL, AHL, and Europe. While playing junior, college, and professional hockey he has been exposed to many different drills, goaltending philosophies, analytical and video approaches to the game. When combining the most beneficial drills, goaltending philosophies, analytical and video approaches, Elevate Goaltending & Analytics was created. 

Coach Sean Romeo

    Sean grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina playing for the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes before his USHL career. He played for the Youngstown Phantoms for 3.5 years and was named an assistant captain his final year. After juniors, he played two years at the University of Maine and transferred to The Ohio State University, where he led his team to the Frozen Four in 2018 and graduated in 2019 with a degree in Finance. He played two years professionally in the ECHL. Sean has spent the last 11 summers helping coach and mentor young goalies in the Raleigh area. He specializes in private lessons, video breakdown, and constructing off-season programs to help goaltenders excel and elevate their game to the next level.

 

 

Coach Logan Stine

 

    Logan Stein grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and played youth hockey for the TPH Thunder and Oakland jr Grizzlies.  Logan then made the jump to the USHL to play for the Waterloo Black Hawks.  While in Waterloo Logan earned a Bronze medal with Team USA at the World Jr A Challenge as well as winning a gold metal for Team USA at the IIHF World Juniors U20 Tournament. He played two years in Waterloo before moving on to Ferris State University in 2020. He is currently a Sophomore at Ferris State. Logan has a variety of coaching experience. While in Waterloo he did private lessons for local goalies and coached the Waterloo Black Hawks goalie camps from 2018-2020. Logan also coached with CJ Motte at Elevate Goaltending’s summer camp last summer.
